Altadena, CA 2025

These works were created at several fire-affected sites in Altadena, including the remains of the artist’s home. Using charcoal collected from the ruins, she produced rubbings directly from surviving walls, burned trees, and other damaged objects. None of the materials or objects used in this process still exist. The resulting impressions serve as direct records of what remained after the fire—traces of structures and forms captured at the moment before they disappeared.
